Who We Are
Beta Theta Pi has been a campus leader at the University of Mississippi since 1879 with more than 1900 initiates. We continually strive for excellence in the classroom and as leaders in the Lafayette-Oxford-University community. This website serves as a resource for brothers, potential new members, parents and alumni with up-to-date information about the Beta Beta chapter.
Our History and Values
Since 1839, Beta Theta Pi Fraternity has initiated more than 200,000 men at colleges and universities across North America. All members share a passion for academic excellence, sense of tradition, brotherhood, and friendship. Beta Theta Pi is constantly growing and is always looking for prospective members who share these ideals.
Recruitment
Our fraternity’s mission is to develop men of principle for principled life, based on our five core values: cultivation of intellect, mutual assistance, responsible conduct, trust, and integrity. These values, which were embodied by Beta’s founding fathers more than 178 years ago, can still be observed within each member of the Beta Beta chapter today. Joining the brotherhood of Beta Theta Pi leads to countless opportunities, both during and after your collegiate experience.
We Call It Home
Housing 29 members during the 2020-2021 academic school year, the chapter house serves as a home away from home for all members of the Beta Beta chapter.
